There were a series of close contests in Round 3 of the Betfred League One...
Midlands Hurricanes leapfrogged Rochdale Hornets into top spot after they defeated Keighley Cougars in what was a tale of two halves.
The Hurricanes raced into a 8-24 lead at Cougar Park, before the hosts forged a second half comeback to reduce the deficit to just two points with less than ten minutes to go.
Four tries from Keighley's Billy Walkley were not enough on the day, and despite keeping Midlands scoreless in the second stanza, the Canes held on to make history and secure their first ever win at Keighley's place.
Rochdale Hornets came close against Whitehaven in a scintillating encounter, but the Cumbrian side hung in there to win - in turn ending the Hornets' unbeaten run.
There was a high-scoring affair between Cornwall and Newcastle, as the Choughs claimed their first victory of 2025 - with Henry Symons and Adam Rusling scoring hattricks.
Swinton Lions endured a tough test against Dewsbury Rams and could never quite get a hold on the game, with the Rams always leading and in complete control.
Goole Vikings, along with Keighley and Newcastle, are still searching for their first wins of the campaign, after North Wales Crusaders avenged their AB Sundecks 1895 Cup defeat in Round 3, and continued their winning start.
